Obituary of Carolyn Billings Chistolini

Carolyn Billings Chistolini, a sweet soul, and loving mother and grandmother, passed away September 16, 2023, at age 83, in Ocala, Florida.  Born to Leland and Bonnie Billings on December 3, 1939, in Birmingham, Alabama, Carolyn went on to be a life-long public servant, working for the Social Security Administration, the Dade County Public School System, and lastly the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller.  She was a private person who always put others before herself, regularly volunteering at the Methodist Church and a variety of senior services, as well as performing countless anonymous acts of charity and kindness.  Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her siblings, Francis Heer, Paul Billings, Sr., and Jerome Billings.  She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Green (Trip), and son, Paul Chistolini (Lisa), and her grandchildren, Jett, Ella, Eason, and Emme.  A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Ocala First United Methodist Church on Monday September 25, 2023, at 2:00p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks you consider donating to the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home (https://www.fumch.org/making-a-difference/make-a-donation/) or Marion Senior Services’ Meals on Wheels (https://www.marionseniorservices.org/nutrition-programs).
