Obituary of Travis Davis

Travis Davis Sr., 83 of Ocala, Florida passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023. Born is Casey County, Kentucky on October 1, 1939, to Herman and Grace Davis who predeceased him. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Davis, daughter Wanda Robinson and brother Bubby Davis. Travis is survived by his son, Travis Davis Jr. and daughters Kathy Maynard (Gus), Roxanna Simpson (John), Roetta Coller (Randy) and Theresa Vega (Timmy); brothers Mitchell, Thiral (Sandy), and Ruel (Wanda) Davis; in addition to 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Travis was employed in the equine industry in Ocala, Florida and Lexington, Kentucky for over 40 years, retiring in 2007. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cates Hospice House of Marion County in his honor.
