Matthew Perez, 97, of Summerfield, Florida passed away August 21, 2023, at his home in Summerfield, Florida. Matthew was born in Cuba a son of the late Liborio and Julia Perez Hernandez. He was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of Souls Harbor Church, Belleview, FL. Matthew is survived by sons, Paul Perez of Ocala, FL, David Perez of Belleview, FL, Sam Perez of Summerfield, FL and Matthew Perez, Jr. of Ocklawaha, FL. and daughters, Sylvia Becerril of Summerfield, FL. Lisa Plappert of Ocala, FL and Esther Thomas of Belleview, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Liborio Perez Hernandez and Julia Corcho, his wife, Maria Perez and son, Carlos Perez. He was one of 5 sons and 5 daughters. He has 27 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Souls Harbor Church, Belleview on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00PM. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM.
