Obituary of David Paul Maloney

David Paul Maloney 74, died August 19 in Ocala, FL.  He was born in Newcastle, Indiana, the oldest son of 10 children.

He joined the US Army September 22, 1967 and was discharged September 21, 1971.  He served in Vietnam with 3/4 Calvary, 25th Infantry Division.  He received 3 Purple Hearts, and 4 Bronze Stars with Valor. He was a member of VFW Post 4209, American Legion Post 284, Loyal Order of Purple Heart, 3/4 Calvary Association, Harley Owners Group and National Rifle Association. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Wanda and Taylor Maloney, his wife, Nancy Maloney, brothers Robert, Mark, and sister Kathy Bartley.

He is survived by Donna, wife, two sons, Brian P Maloney and James D.Maloney, stepson, Bradley Thurman,  grandchilden, Nicole Maloney, Danielle Llanes, and Hunter Maloney, 2 step grandchildren, Micah J Thurman, Amelia D Thurman, and great grandchildren, Alicia, Dayton, Payton.  He is also survived by  brothers John Maloney, James Maloney, sisters Sue Newton, Sharon Ogzewalla, Christie Kramer, Tracie Spahn.

He will be interred at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL
