Obituary of Lidia Calanche

Lidia Esperanza Calanche, 93, of Ocala, Florida passed away surrounded by family on July 29, 2023. She was born January 18, 1930. Lidia, known by her family as “Maia” was a native of Jutiapa, Guatemala before moving to the Ocala area from Rosedale, New York in 1993.

Lidia is survived by her loving children, Sandra and Arturo. Grandchildren; Cynthia, Kristopher, Roberto, Edwin and Jessica; great-grandchildren Sofia, Lorenzo, Christian, Mia, Layla, Olive, Ryan, Ella and Teddi.

She was preceded in death by her mother Paula Calanche.

A funeral service for Lidia will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL 34470 on Saturday, August 5 at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Woodlawn cemetery. Flowers are welcome. Online condolences may be sent to www.hiersbaxley.com.
