Jill (Koslow) Schwartz

Obituary of Jill (Koslow) Schwartz

Jill (Koslow) Schwartz, 85, passed away on Saturday, May 6th, 2023, at E.W. & Lucille Cates House Hospice in Ocala, Fl, after a very brief illness.  Jill was born October 2nd, 1937, to Joseph Koslow and Mary (Everett) Koslow, in St. Louis, MO.  She was a very active and involved member of numerous clubs within the Oak Run Community for more then 2 decades, making scores of forever friends along the way.

Jill had owned and operated a couple day-care centers in the 1960's and '70's, both in the St. Louis area, as well as the Pompano Beach, FL. After moving to the Ocala area in 1999, Jill worked for many years with The Vines Hospital, and once again, securing many lifelong friends.

Jill was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, who passed away in 2012, her parents, Joseph (1993) and Mary (1987) Koslow, and her brother Jack Koslow in 2021.

Jill is survived by her three children, son Rob (Danielle) Hurth, of Port Charlotte, FL., son Brad (Suzie) Hurth of Margate, FL. and daughter Vicki (Larry) Spraul. Jill is also survived by three grandchildren, and one great-grandson, and Khloe, Jill's Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Jill was a tremendous mother to her 3 children, and a wonderful role model in every aspect. She was loved and revered by all her family and friends.  Jill loved several pets over her lifetime, from Miniature Schnauzers to Harlequin Great Danes, but none had captured her heart as much as Khloe, her 12-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; theirs was a special and unique bond, like no other.

Final arrangements were handled by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services TimberRidge, 9695 SW 110th St. Ocala, FL.

Jill was interred, joining her husband Marvin, at Florida National Cemetery at 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL on May 15th, 2023.
