I met Tom at a GFOA conference in Denver and his kindness and great personality endeared him to me. Found we shared a love for music and that we visited the same places in Houston and I was able to meet up with him a few times before I moved. So sorry to hear Tom has been called home. Prayers go out to the family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

My name is Myra Tedder i was the MSTU Director for Marion County and I worked closely with Tom. He was always the professional. We nicknamed him Big Bird because he was so tall. I made the mistake once in 1994 of teasing him one day when Auburn University beat the Gators in football because my daughter went to Auburn at the time. Let’s just say I never teased about that again. Tom was always very helpful to me and I appreciated him. I’m very sorry that he has passed much too young
