The floor Nurse scolded me for helping Jim! One day bringing the Holy Eucharist to Jim at Leesburg Hospital Rehab Facility where he was recovering from a stoke I found myself kneeling in front of him helping to pull up his socks! Busted! A stern rebuke from the nurse warned Jim and I that HE had to do that! No helping. Interesting to a guy whose life was dedicated to helping others. A life well spent doing the Lord's work. I had the pleasure of taking care of both Mr and Mrs Proud at Homewood for about 10 years. Mamma Proud was such a sweet lady. We would hug and dance our way when assisting her to her chair. She had such a beautiful twinkle in her eyes. I always felt love from her. Loved taken care of her. I miss her. "Jimmy " as I called him. Was my buddy , a friend, father figure. I enjoyed spending time with him. We would talk about all kinds of things. He gave me alot of good advice. The Prouds and family grabbed my heart. What a beautiful family. I will never forget you both. I hold a special place for you in my heart. Until we meet again. Love you. Gina Basso
