Obituary of China Basavaiah Ponnuru

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved father. Born in a humble village in Kuchinapudi, India, our father's unwavering dedication to his family and community has left an indelible mark on all those who knew him. After completing his high school education, he worked tirelessly to support his family's farm and later started his own business. 

In the 1970s, he married his loving wife Sita Mahalakshmi and together they were blessed with children - Ram Ponnuru and his wife Padmaja, Siva Ponnuru and his wife Vidya, and Aruna Sandrapaty and her husband Dr. Ravi Sandrapaty, MD, and grandchildren - Vivek Sandrapaty, Seersha Ponnuru, Vedanth Ponnuru, Megha Sandrapaty, and Devansh Ponnuru.

His love and devotion to his family were unwavering and he always worked hard to provide for them, ensuring that his children received a good education and pursued their dreams.

Beyond his family, our father was a kind and generous man who went out of his way to help others in need. He was deeply respected in his village for his many charitable works, which touched the lives of countless individuals and families. As a family, we are proud to have had such a remarkable person as our father and we will always cherish the memories of his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering spirit.

Although we are heartbroken by his passing, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on through his children, who have all achieved great success and are pursuing their careers in America. We will always miss our beloved father and will carry his memory in our hearts forever.
