Obituary of Eloise Kay Coburn

Eloise Kay Coburn, nee Erk, of Clermont, FL passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023.  She was 83.  Eloise was born on November 30, 1939, in Columbus, Ohio.  She moved to Sarasota, FL in 1971 where she became Vice President of the Scott Paint Company.  After she retired, Eloise moved to Ocala, FL.  She loved playing piano and was the church pianist and board member of every church she attended.  Serving God was the most important part of her life; playing games and Bingo with her friends was a close second.  Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, Kennard R and Gladys M (nee Weber) Erk, her husband of 55 years, Jerry C. Coburn and her brother, Donald Garling.  Eloise is survived by her daughter, Chris Waller, and her husband Robert of Between, GA; her son, Don Coburn, and his wife Patti of Sarasota, FL; and her son, Chip Coburn, and his wife Tiffany of Clermont, FL.  She is survived by grandchildren Bradley Waller and wife Sierra, Emily Duncan and husband Bryan, Kristi Hurt and husband Alex, and Paris Coburn, as well as great grandchildren, Paisley Waller, Ryland Waller, Brooks Duncan, and Carson Hurt.  Eloise is survived by her brother, Albert Garling, Jr. and family, sister Marie Bennett and family, and many other loved friends and family members.  A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 18, 11:00am, at Ocala West Church of the Nazarene, 5884 SW 60th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34474.  An urn committal will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.  Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 9695 SW 110th St., Ocala, FL 34481.  Condolences may be expressed at www.hiers-baxley.com.
