Obituary of Marsha Susan Thomas

Marsha Susan Thomas, 71, passed away on February 9, 2023. She is survived by her daughter Stephanie Martin, daughter Courtney Clarke (Adam Clarke), and grandchildren Chloe, Emmett, Teagan and Rylie. Marsha is also survived by her siblings Janet Dollar (Preston Dollar), Mark Thomas, Jeff Tiepelman, Chuck Tiepelman (Debbie Cummings), and Madonna Halley. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Thomas and Dorothy Thomas Tiepelman, and her sister, Linda Nolan.

Marsha was born on August 23, 1951 and graduated from Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, Missouri. She lived in Des Moines, Iowa, and various locations in Missouri, working in Human Resources. She helped employees and companies manage their retirement services and benefits for over 40 years before retirement. She moved to Florida in 2022.

Marsha prided herself on being a strong and independent woman, and raised her daughters to be the same. She loved reading detective novels and always figured out the ending, traveling to experience historic and natural places of significance and beauty, spending time with family and neighbors, trick-or-treating with her grandchildren and listening to their many stories.

There will be no visitation or service per Marsha’s request. However, an End of Life Celebration will be organized later in the year.
