Obituary of Sara A. Boyd

On Saturday, 19 November, 2022, Sara Boyd, Loving wife and mother, passed away at age 62. 

Sara served as a Marion County teacher and a children’s librarian at the Swain County NC Public Library and regional librarian for the Georgia Library System.  She earned her degrees from Central Florida Community College, Saint Leo University, and the University of South Florida. She served as a docent at the Appleton Museum of Art and was active in community theater. 

Sara is survived by her husband of 32 years, Dr. Don Boyd, her son Jonas Boyd (Vickie) and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 19, 2022, 5:00-7:00 PM at Heirs-Baxley Funeral Home in Ocala. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, 11:00 AM at Heirs-Baxley Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala.
