Obituary of Catherine Ann Brooks

Catherine Ann Brooks passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, in Las Vegas. She was born on November 13, 1935, in Manhattan, New York City, New York, and lived in the Bronx with her parents Michael Joseph Dillon and Catherine Guinee Dillon, and her sister Mary Dillon who all pre-decease her. On July 22, 1956, she married the love of her life Martin Michael Brooks who passed away in 2013. They were happily married for 57 years. Together they raised three children on Long Island in Commack, New York and lived there until 1995 when they retired to Oak Run in Ocala, Florida. Catherine worked as a bookkeeper. She is survived by her children Donna Brooks of Las Vegas, Martin Brooks and his wife Bryna Pitt and Douglas Brooks and his wife Maria all of Buford, Georgia; her granddaughters Nicole Brooks Donolli, Ashley Brooks Ross, Chelsea Brooks, and Danielle Brooks; great grandchildren Aiden Brooks and Avery Ross. 

 A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 3:00-5:00 pm at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services Timber Ridge Chapel. 9695 SW 10th Street, Ocala, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Ocala. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
