Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Belleview 5946 SE Robinson Road Belleview , FL 34420 (352) 245-2424 Obituary for Jimmie Carolyn Hite Jimmie W Hite, age 79, passed away on Saturday November 26th, in Ocala Florida after a brief illness. Jimmie was born in Waynesville, NC on June 26, 1943. She was the daughter of the late James P White and Ruth Leatherwood. She married James Bernhard (Jimmy) Hite from Nashville, Tennessee in 1961. Jimmie and Jimmy moved to Summerfield, Florida in 1964 and it was there that they made their life and raised their children on their family owned dairy farm, Summerfield Jerseys. In the early 70's Jimmie began working at Belleview Elementary school in the guidance office. She retired from there after 30 years. She was a homemaker and did many things for her family in her spare time. She took care of her grandchildren and loved spending time with her great grandchildren when she could. Jimmie had many friends and those who remember her for taking good care of them when hanging out with her boys. She traveled to her beloved hometown of Waynesville anytime she could, visiting with friends and family while there. To know her was to love her and she will be greatly missed. Jimmies beloved husband James B Hite preceded her in death on July 27, 2022 due to an automobile accident. Jimmie is survived by her son's Marshall M. (Diana) Hite of Ocklawaha, Fl and James Joshua (Dori) Hite of Weirsdale, Fl ; Sister Barbara (Gene) Anders Barberville, NC; Step Father Charles Leatherwood Waynesville, NC; Sister-in-law Mary Moody of Summerfield, Fl, Grandchildren Alan J Hite Summerville, SC, Cassie (Benjamin) Kaspari Sheldon, ND and Jacob Hite Weirsdale, Fl; Great Grandchildren Hannah and Gwynneth Hite of Summerville, SC; Joshua, Emily and John Kaspari of Sheldon ND. She also has several nieces and cousins. A celebration of life will be held for Jimmie on Saturday December 17th at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Oxford (4060 County Road 108' Oxford, Fl) with Pastor Andrew Krop officiating. A reception and meal will follow in the Family Life Center.
