Obituary of Mary A. Carlson

Mary A. Carlson of the Villages, FL passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 22nd, after a short illness. She was surrounded by family and her loving husband, Russell. 

Mary was born on November 1, 1934 in Worcester, MA to Rocco and Elizabeth Cataldo. She graduated from Commerce High and worked at Norton Company in Worcester. She met her husband Russell at a company dance and they were inseparable for 61 years. 

Mary loved reading, traveling and watching her favorite classic movies with her dog, Winston, by her side. 

She was preceded in death by her sister Mickey Montecalvo, sister Rose Cataldo, brother Anthony Cataldo, and her niece Carol Cataldo. She is survived by husband Russell, her son Mark (Cheryl) Carlson of North Attleboro, MA, her daughter Elizabeth (Robert) Raquet of the Villages, FL. Her grandchildren Nicholas, Brandon, Mark, and Evan; and her nephews Paul and Tony.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 1st at 11:00AM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home. Following the service, friends are invited to return to Liz’s home for a celebration of life.
