Obituary of Phyllisann La Greca

Phyllis Ann passed away on November 7, 2022 at the age of 79. She was a 2x cancer survivor. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She was 1 of 5 children born to Paul and Catherine Approbato.

She is pre-deceased by both her parents, sisters Serafine Hansen and Dolores Sorrentino. She is also pre-deceased by her brother Joseph Approbato.

Phyllisann is survived by her loving husband, Alan La Greca and brother Robert Approbato. She is also survived by her two children, Susan and husband Dennis Conklin of Ocala, her son Gregory Auditore Sr. and his wife Margaret Auditore of Staten Island. Her grandchildren, Gregory Auditore Jr. and his wife Breanne of Staten Island, Brian Auditore and his wife Tara of Long Island. Jessica Conklin and Caitlyn Conklin, both of Ocala.

Phyllisann’s pride and joy were her two great grandchildren, Chloe and Nicholas.

Phyllisann crocheted her entire life. She was always making blankets, sweaters, and more for anyone who asked. At The Villages she belonged to several Social Clubs. She loved playing Pokeno with her neighborhood ladies on Virginia Trace.

When Phyllisann’s children were younger, she volunteered at St. John the Evangelist School and Church in Brooklyn. She was also an Avon lady for over 25 years. She enjoyed chatting with all her customers. She loved having a good time and enjoying life. However, nothing made her happier than spending time with her family.

Phyllisann is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
