Obituary of Dorothy Pickett

Dorothy Pickett, 95, of Ocala passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at E.W. & Lucille Cates Hospice House in Ocala. Dorothy Pickett was a native of Putnam County and was a longtime resident of this area. She was a retired music teacher and got the most enjoyment out of teaching those that wanted to learn. She is remembered most by her family as a caring mother who always was there for her family. Survivors include her husband of 64 years Richard Heth Pickett; children Angela Wade, Bruce Pickett, Suzanne Austin; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 3pm at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services Ocala, 910 E Silver Springs Blvd with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior.
