Hello!
My name is Andrea and Ingrid and I was very fortunate to have met and cared for Mr. Charles Glass. Ingrid my superior said “Andrea you are the one for this case.”
It was a short time but we both felt like we knew him all our lives. Ingrid would come by every evening to check on him and see if I needed help. He had a big voice but gentle and kind. He was always so grateful for all we did for him.
He was a strong believer in his God and he welcomed prayer always. Ingrid prayed with him and I continued afterwards. Oh he loved it. He was a peaceful man and one could feel the peace of God emanating from him as you entered his room. The Holy Spirit hovered over him. He was always smiling, no matter what discomfort he was feeling. When asked if he was ok, he would answer with a resounding, yes! He loved his family and one evening he got a call from his granddaughter, he lit up and you could hear the excitement in his voice. He was so happy she called. He went out with dignity, he was honored, he was respected, and he went out happy. He had a big smile on his face when he left. I know where he is gone and I know we will all see him again.
I am so humbled to have been in the presence of this great man.
To the Glass Family:
I know it will be hard in the coming days ahead but I pray the Lord will grant you His peace, His comfort and His strength. Our deepest condolences. Bask in the good memories and the great legacy he has left you.
Thank you for entrusting us with your love one and for giving us the opportunity to serve you. It was an honor to serve in this capacity.
