Obituary of Brandy Tiyon Thomas-Tyler

Brandy Tiyon Thomas-Tyler age 37 of Ocala, Florida, was born August 19, 1984, and transitioned to be with the lord at her home on June 28, 2022. She was born to her loving and devoted father, Lorenzo James Thomas, who preceded her in death, and her mother, Cynthia (Raines) Thomas. Brandy was a graduate of Vanguard High School, Class of 2002.  She then went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University, Tallahassee, FL.

 

Brandy enjoyed working as a medical assistant at Ocala Family Medical Center for 20+ years where she was dedicated to providing compassionate care to her patients, and coworkers. In her free time, she enjoyed going to the movies and was an avid reader.  Like her dad, Brandy had a quiet faith, demonstrated by her heart for serving others.  Her heart of gold and lighthearted sense of humor will be missed, as she is remembered as a beautiful mother, daughter, sister, and friend who lived, loved, and laughed.

 

Brandy is survived by her two daughters, Liyah, age 10, and Alyssa, age 8 (Linton Tyler, Father); her mother, Cynthia (Raines) Thomas; and her sister, Bettina Thomas, all of Ocala, FL. Brandy was a niece, cousin, and friend to a host of many others who adored her.

 

Celebration of life for Brandy will be held at Maricamp Road Church of Christ, 2750 SE Maricamp Road, Ocala, FL on Saturday, July 9 at 1:00 pm.  Evangelist Wesley Leonard, Senior Pastor, Southside Church of Christ, Orlando, will be officiating the services.  A gathering of family and friends will take place from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
