Obituary of John K. Briggs

TSGT John K. Briggs (USAF Retired) of 11546 SW 71st Circle, Ocala, FL where he resided with his wife Opal, passed on Monday, May 9th at 10:08 PM. John K. Briggs was born in Watervliet, NY and is the son of Kenneth F. Briggs (deceased) and Anna Zayachek (deceased).

He is survived by his wife Opal (Duvall) Briggs, children Marianne McCool (Thomas) of Plato, MO, Julie Rennebu (Alan) of Orlando FL, John K Briggs, II (Beverly) of Enterprise, AL, grandchildren Jeremy Roman of Buffalo, NY, Stephanie Roman of Depew, NY, Kristine McCool Meck of Raeford, NC, Samantharae McCool Starr of Dittmor, MO, Keefe Rennebu of Orlando, FL, Ryan Rennebu of Orlando FL, John K. Briggs, III of Indianapolis, IN, Dominik Briggs of Enterprise, AL and great-grandchildren Bernie Keller, Nina Roman, Isaac, Cadence and Persephone Starr, Isaiah Roman and Thomas Joseph Hewitt.

A memorial service for John with military honors will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, TimberRidge (9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala, FL 34481) on Saturday, June 4 at 11:00am. A gathering will be held from 10:00am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s name to Parkinson's Foundation
