Uncle Claude could make you smile just by walking in the room. He was kind, funny, talented (he could draw!), compassionate, playful, very tall, and strong (he could tear an old, very thick, telephone book in half with his hands!) But most of all he was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. Thank-you for the comforting memories, Uncle Claude. We will miss you so very much.

My brother was a good Cub Scout, Boy Scout, friend and Navy enlistee. He loved being in the Navy as much as I loved being in the Marines. Naturally, we found it amusing and fun to tease and chide one another. I am so thankful we both made it through the Great Depression, WWII, and the Korean War.
Claude had a wonderful sense of humor. He always brightened the moment no matter where he was or what he was undertaking. He knew how to make all of us smile and laugh, which we will always remember.
Claude was a great brother and will be greatly missed.
A grieving brother,
Gene (Mary Anne)

Cousins: I was very saddened to learn of the passing of Uncle Claude. I’m very thankful I was able to spend some time with him in recent years along with my Dad, and you can only imagine what it’s like when the two of them are together! I treasure the memories I have of all of us at Grandma Roberts house (which I thought was a mansion) and I hope all of you do as well. Your Dad will be deeply missed, hoping you find peace and comfort in all the memories you have and each other.
Thinking of y’all
Patrice
