Obituary of Garth Albert Spriggs Price

Garth Albert Spriggs Price, 90, of Summerfield, Florida passed away March 20, 2022, at Ted & Diane Brandley House, Summerfield, Florida with his wife, Ida, at his side. Garth was born January 26, 1932, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the son of the late Leslie George & Anne (Heath) Price. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and part of the infamous “Typhoon Goons”, reaching the rank of Staff Sargent. After leaving the military, Garth joined McDonald-Douglas Aerospace Corp. where he worked on both coasts as a Senior Manager on such projects as Skylab, Delta rockets, Challenger launches and Apollo 11. Upon retirement, Garth & Ida retired in Summerfield, Florida in November of 1995. He was a member of the North Lake Presbyterian Church in Lady Lake, FL. Garth is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ida Rose (Pertuset) Price. Also, by his son, Gregory Dale Price of Sanford, FL and daughter, Susan Elaine (Bill) Tagalicod of Kissimmee, FL. He has 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Stephen Leslie Price. The family will receive friends at North Lake Presbyterian Church, Lady Lake, FL on Tuesday, March 29th, at 10:00am followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00am.
