Obituary of Theresa Patricia Rumpel

Theresa Patricia Rumpel, 94, of Ocala, Florida passed away at Ocala Regional Medical Center on March 21, 2022. She was born April 14, 1927 the daughter of the late John and Mary Clancy. Theresa was a native of Queens, New York before moving to the Ocala area from Jamesport, New York in 1988. In 1949, she married her loving husband, Walter Harold Rumpel, and together the two shared many years together before his passing in 2007. Theresa was a teacher’s aide at Riverhead Central School district in New York for 17 years prior to her retirement. She was a dedicated member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.

Theresa is survived by her children, Margaret Smith and Susan Eatmon; her son-in-laws, Charlie Smith and Greg Eatmon; her grandchildren, Scott and Colleen Smith, Stacey Dunbar, Marissa Anahory, Andrew and Laura Eatmon, and Alex Eatmon; her great grand children, Casey and Riley Dunbar, Gavin and Brooke Smith and Sophia Eatmon; and her sister, Anne Barton.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

A funeral mass for Theresa will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 29 at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
