Obituary of Maria E. Trahan

Maria E. Trahan, 82, of Ocala, Florida passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on March 11, 2022. She was born March 14, 1939, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mamie (DiPetrillo) Lonardo. Maria was a native of Greenville, Rhode Island before retiring after 25 years as the Cost Manager for T. Sardelli & Sons at which time her and her husband relocated to Ocala, Florida. In 1960 she married the love of her life, Maurice "Moe" Trahan and together the two shared almost 62 years of love and happiness. Maria was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church of Ocala, FL where she volunteered many hours of her time assisting the church with the duties assigned to her.

Maria is survived by her loving husband, Maurice "Moe" Trahan; her daughter, Annmarie (Trahan) DelFino; of Ocala FL. daughter in law Susan (Buono) Trahan of Johnston, RI, and grandchildren Skylar (Beatrice) DelFino, Derek Trahan, Dylan Trahan, Ryan DelFino, Ross DelFino, Rachel DelFino and Bobbi-Sue Trahan. Maria is also survived by two great grandchildren; Madon Mulligan and Mia Kate DelFino. Whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Mamie (DiPetrillo) Lonardo, Her son Robert "Bobby" Trahan of Johnston RI and her grandson Robert DelFino Jr. of Ocala FL.

A visitation for Maria will be held on Friday, March 18 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services (9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala, FL 34481) from 4:00p.m. until 6:00p.m. Mass will be held at 1:00p. on Saturday, March 19 at St. Jude Catholic Church with burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park (1515 NE 3rd Street, Ocala, FL 34470).
