Obituary of Sandra Whitlock Hahn

Sandra Whitlock Hahn, 84 was welcomed into heaven on February 27, 2022. Sandra was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, friend, and most of all a child of God.

Sandra was born on March 24, 1937, to Fredrick Whitlock and Thelma Whitlock of Roanoke, VA. She was the oldest of 8 children.

After undergoing multiple surgeries at a young age the medical field became her passion and purpose. She graduated from the University of Virginia with her RN Nursing degree and began her love of caring for others.

She moved to Sarasota, Fl with several friends and became the head ER nurse at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

Sandra met and married the love of her life Richard Hahn who preceded her in death. They resided in Sarasota, Fl for 53 years.

Sandra was a loving, giving, praying, and protective mom to two amazing sons. Richard Hahn Jr (Mary) of Conyers, GA and Randy Hahn (Donna) of Ocala Fl

She was a fun, game-playing grandma to five grandchildren whom she adored. Austin Hahn (Laurie), Matthew Hahn, Zachary Hahn, Melissa Hahn, and Rebecca Hahn.

She is also survived by two siblings Bette Shively of WI and Barton Whitlock (Ann) of NC and a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Sandra accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a revival. She loved Jesus with her whole heart and served him at many churches. She served on the board of Child Evangelism Fellowship / Good News Club.

In her later years, she and Rick moved to Ocala, FL to be closer to family. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with her beautiful smile. Her favorite saying was "What do I have to complain about? God is so good to me!"         

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Hiers Baxley 910 E Silver Springs Blvd Ocala, FL on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 10 am. Pastor David Butts officiating.
