Obituary of Marie P. Bradish

Marie (Mitzi) P. Bradish went home to her permanent address in heaven and is now with her Savior Jesus Christ and the love of her life Jim on January 18, 2022. Mitzi was 85 years old and lived in The Villages, Florida for the past 18 years. She was born and raised in Donora, PA, and as a young adult moved to St. Petersburg, Florida with her parents where she worked for Bell Telephone. Mitzi spent most of her married life in Bucks County, PA being a loving housewife and stay-at-home mom, raising her two children. Later in life she worked for Globe Weiss in Morrisville, PA (where she was known as Itzi Bitzi Mitzi) and for North Tech in Bristol, PA (where she would tell funny stories of working the assembly line of beauty products which were comparable to “I Love Lucy” episodes).

Mitzi enjoyed taking care of her home and decorating and her house was always neat and clean. Some of her hobbies were cake decorating and painting. And she loved to shop – especially for others. Mitzi was sweet and kind and soft spoken and everyone loved her. Mitzi and Jim loved to host picnics and parties (where she was known for her delicious potato salad), cards with family and friends and they liked bowling.

Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she was always bragging about them. One of her favorite times in life was when she babysat her grandchildren.

In her younger days, when she lived in Florida and before she was married, she enjoyed going to the beach after work with her cousin Jack, who was more like a brother to her. In her most recent years, Mitzi was the best caregiver Jim could have asked for. She was by his side always – they were inseparable throughout all of their years together. Mitzi was a loving wife, wonderful mother and number one grandmother.

Mitzi is predeceased by her parents Peter Paul (Pat) and Mary Girman and husband James (Jim) Bradish.

She is survived by her children Jim Bradish (Terrie) and Karen Rigby; grandchildren Tom Rigby, Samantha Bradish, and Alexa Rigby Kringe (Rich), and grand-dogs Harley, Molly and Minnie.

Services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Summerfield, Florida. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hiers-baxley.com on Mitzi’s page.
