Obituary of Frederick W. Post

Frederick W. Pos, age 78, of Dunnellon, Florida, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at The Ted & Diane Brandley Hospice House.  Fred was born on March 27, 1943 in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late Frederick J. Post and Catherine Shutt Post.  He was a longtime resident of Dunnellon, FL after moving from New Jersey 30 years ago.  Fred proudly served in the United States Army.

Fred was preceded in death by two siblings, Sharon Snable and Frank Post. He is survived by his sister, Catherine Rissmiller (Ken); Brother-in-law, Doug Snable; Daughters, Elaine Post of Washington,  Tammy Zagaro (Bryan) of New Jersey and Erica Rose of Washington; Grandchildren, Alexander Chambarry, Ava Zagaro, Colin Zagaro, Natalie Fitten, Hayden Rose, and Harper Rose; and Nieces; Catha, Melissa, Rebecca and April.

Cremation was under the care and direction of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home. .A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, 11:00AM,  at Highland Memorial Park in Ocala, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Fred Post’s honor, to Hospice of Marion County.
