Obituary of James Alan Bueter
James Alan Bueter, 57, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in Ocala, with his wife Lisa and his family by his side. He was born June 11, 1964, in Greenville, Ohio, graduated from Forest High School, and was a resident of Ocala his entire adult life. Jim was employed for 42 years by Motion Industries, formerly Miller Bearings, of Ocala.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Hawk Bueter, of Ocala, and siblings Cheryl (Bill) Chrisman of North Pole, AK, Tom (Debbie) Bueter of Rossburg, OH, Dan (Shera) Bueter of Sykesville, MD, and Lynda Conway of Charlotte, NC. His parents, Don and Phyllis Bueter of Ocala, preceded him in death. Additional survivors include his brother-in-law Michael (Michelle) Hodge of Peachtree Corners, GA, sister-in-law Leslie (Cary) Hawk Ray of Ocala, nieces and nephews, many friends, and three Dachshunds (two well-behaved and one not so much).
Jim never met a stranger. His circle of friends was large, diverse, and ever widening. He never shied from a commitment and supported his family and friends through any challenge.
Jim drag raced several classes of motorcycles. His racing career took him on many travels, and for pleasure riding he enjoyed attending Biketoberfest and Bike Week in Daytona with his friends, brothers, and nephew.
He collected antique automobilia, including his prized vintage tractor, and enjoyed many late evenings helping his father with automobile restoration projects.
Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman. For his 50th birthday, he took the trip of a lifetime to hunt on safari in Africa. He loved spending time on the water on his boat with his family and friends, who acknowledge he was a wonderful host but not such a skilled fishing guide.
In recent years, Jim and his wife Lisa enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends and to search out unique local restaurants.
Memorial arrangements will be announced to family and friends at a later date.
