Obituary of Randy James Chartier

Randy Chartier passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the age of 78. Randy was born in North Island, San Diego, California to Wilfred and Elayne. Wilfred was a career Navy man affording Randy the opportunity to live in several areas of the country as well as overseas for a short while during his teen years. Randy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Mary; son Richard; stepchildren Kara, Kristine and Jennifer; sister Antoinette; niece Francesca; brother-in-law Brian; son-in-law Kevin; and grandchildren Madalyn, Derek, Fiona and Lauren. Randy spent his working career in various government agencies spending the bulk of it working as an IT Specialist at the IRS in the Washington DC area. Randy and Mary moved to Florida in 2002. To describe Randy, you think of a simple man, whose passions were his family, motorcycling and most recently cruising the oceans blue. Randy’s family and friends knew him as always ready with a smile, having a great sense of humor, taking time to stop and living life to the fullest. A funeral for Randy is planned for January 14, 2021 at 11:00 am. The service will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on 10670 SE Maricamp Road, Ocala, Florida 34472. All are invited to attend. A light lunch will follow immediately at 12:00 pm in the church hall.
