Obituary of Gordon Welch

Gordon “Gordy” Welch passed away on November 2, 2021. Born and raised in Texas, Gordon met his beautiful wife while they were both serving in the Air Force. He has many friends and family there. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 ½ years, Peggy.

Gordon and Peggy have two daughter, Dixie Fosler and Tessa Welch, and a son-in-law, Scott Fosler. He was also blessed with two loving grandchildren, Travis and Taylor. Gordy was proud of his 30 year career at the Ocala Police Department. He loved his family and friends so much and will be greatly missed.

A graveside service with military honors for Gordon will be held at 10:00am on Monday, November 15 at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Central Christian Church.
