Obituary of Ava A. Strobridge

Ava A. Strobridge, 97 of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Wellsburg, NY, passed away peacefully at home with family close by, Monday, October 11^th, 2021.  Ava is predeceased by her parents, Roy and Fannie Fairchild; husband Harold E. Strobridge, and three sisters, Grace Sindoni, Marie Bergman, and Alma Britt. 

Ava is survived by her son, Gordon (Nancy) Strobridge of Gillett, Pennsylvania, grandson Brent Strobridge of Pine City, NY, and great-granddaughter Autumn H. Strobridge of Ocala, Florida; Daughter, Fern E. Hildreth and grandson Leonard M. Church of Ocala, Florida; Son, Jay (Lana) Hemingway of Whitehall, Pennsylvania, grandchildren Jason, Eric, and Joel Hemmingway, seven great-grandchildren, Kane, Megan, Talia, Page, Gavin, Austin, Jordyn, and one great great-grandson Everett, along with many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

After retirement, Ava and Harold moved to Florida living in West Palm Beach, later moving to Ocala. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and trips back home to visit.

A graveside Service will be held at Bradford County Memorial Park on October 29, 2021 at 1:00 pm, followed by a gathering at O’Brien’s Restaurant, 33 County Rd 60, Waverly, NY.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County, P.O. Box 4860, Ocala, Florida 34470-4860.
