Obituary of Patricia K. Ballenger

Patricia Ballenger passed away at age 77 with her husband and oldest son by her side on September 18, 2021.

She is survived by her husband Jim; son Jay Willis and wife of Chesapeake, Virginia, son Jeffrey Willis of Charleston, South Carolina,  son Kevin Willis and wife of Virginia Beach, Virginia;  brother Michael Ellen and wife of Norfolk, Massachusetts; niece Kathleen of Massachusetts,  step children Sherrie of Texas, Brandi of Selma, North Carolina, Kimberlee, Beverly and Jimmy of Virginia Beach, Virginia; four granddaughters; three grandsons; six step granddaughters; four step grandsons; one great grandson; and one great nephew.

Patricia was born October 31, 1943 in New York City, New York to her late parents Mary Winters Ellen and William Ellen. She was raised and educated in Fall River, Massachusetts. She was a registered nurse and worked most of her professional career at Bayside Hospital Surgery Department operating room in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

She and her husband moved to Ocala from Virginia Beach, Virginia in November 2013 to enjoy retirement in sunny Florida.  She enjoyed taking the occasional day excursions with friends, motorcycle rides for lunch but most of all she loved playing samba with friends. She loved spending time with or talking to her grandchildren as often as she could.
