Obituary of Valorie (Bengtson) Ellspermann

On February 23, 2021, Valorie (Bengtson) Ellspermann, 67, of Crystal River, Florida, joined her beloved husband and best friend, Carl Ellspermann, in heaven.  Valorie was predeceased by her husband, Carl, her parents, Hank and Lynne (Hollowell) Bengston of Ocala, Florida, and her brother, Bing Bengtson, of Greenville, South Carolina.  

Valorie is survived by her step-children, Jim and his wife, Catherine, of Orlando, Florida, Vince and his wife, Kris, of Nashua, New Hampshire and her daughter, Angie Ellspermann (Pike) and her husband, Sonny, of Fife, Washington; her grand-children, Maryanne, Jay, Emma, Scarlett and Victoria; her sister, Jean (Bengtson) Pettit and her husband, Andy, her niece Kathryn (Kadie) Pettit, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, her brother David Bengtson and his wife, Barbara, of Ocala, Florida.  Valorie enjoyed a 30-year career as a Registered Nurse and leader at Ocala’s Munroe Regional Medical Center and was a person who liked to have fun, was witty, feisty, stubborn and strong willed. Also known as “Bugs” to her grandchildren, Valorie pushed through whatever life put in her path and inspired all who knew and loved her. 

A memorial service for Carl and Valorie will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 16 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services (910 E Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL 34470). A gathering will take place from 1:00pm until the time of the service. Online condolences may be sent to hiers-baxley.com.
