Obituary of Shirley Feaster
Ocala- Shirley Feaster (86), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many, passed on October 5, 2021 with hospice care, surrounded by her husband and children.
She was born on January 31, 1935 in North Miami to the late Thomas and Lucille Ritten. Her family moved to Orange Lake, FL in 1950, where she attended Old Reddick High School, where she meet her soon to be husband Glenn.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Ollie Glenn Feaster, her children Ted Feaster (Lynn), Dan Feaster (Chris), Michael Feaster (deceased), Ron Feaster (Dorothy), and Pam Feaster. Grandchildren Rebecca Scherer (Jeremy), Rachel Reese (Keith), Norm Clifton IV, Caitlyn Feaster, Tommy Files (Stacey), Lauren Carter (David), Teddy Feaster and Madison Feaster. Great grand children Rylee Reese, Ava and Asher Scherer, Kyra Files, Khloe Files and Jagger Carter.
Shirley had 6 brothers and sisters. June Wells, Nita Gaffney, Tommy Ritten, Bobby Ritten (deceased), Jackie Ritten, Jimmy Ritten and many Nieces and Nephews.
Shirley has been a life long resident of McIntosh, FL. She was a member of the Catholic Church and did volunteer work as a Gray lady at the old Monroe Regional Hospital in Ocala. She was an active member of the ladies of the Elks Club. Shirley loved painting and cooking for her family and friends. Shirley’s family were her pride and joy in life and cherished them everyday. Shirley strongly believe in God and Jesus Christ and looked forward to this day to go and meet the Heavenly Father, her parents, family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Shiloh United Methodist Church (11020 NW Highway 320, Micanopy, FL 32667) on Sunday, October 10 at 9:30am.
