Dear Carol and family:
Please accept our sincere and deep sympathy on the departure of Joe. Everyone who befriended him knew he was one of a kind.
We were high school classmates with Joe. Actually Joe and Wayne were classmates starting in the 7th grade. Later, and at high school reunions we met Carol.
Joe had a reputation of a strong presence. On occasions he could even be intimidating to some. But those that came to know Joe well discovered that beneath the stern veneer there was a lot of sentimental “teddy bear” in him.
Most importantly, Joe was a Christian. Thus, although in our humanity we grieve our loss of him, this is overcome by our celebration of his ascent into paradise to be with our Maker. May God keep and rest his soul.
