Obituary of Russell Scott DeCook

 Russell Scott DeCook, age 70, passed away suddenly September 2, 2021 at Leesburg Hospital after a short illness. Russ was born May 16, 1951 in Rochester, New York, the only son of Marjorie and Jacob DeCook. He leaves behind his son Michael of Leesburg, FL, his sister Linda Sorg of Summerfield, FL and his step-brother Jack Radtke of Columbia, SC.

Russ retired to Florida in 2013 and loved his new active life in the sunshine. He kept his friends all the way from childhood through retirement.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held on, Tuesday, September 28,2021 from 2:00-4:00 PM with a 3pm service at Hiers-Baxley, 3975 Wedgewood Lane , The Villages, FL 32162 and then at a later date in Rochester, NY
