Our whole family is so saddened by the loss of Georgie, and yet so thankful to have been blessed to know her. She’s been in my mother, Rose’s life since the crib, so certainly she’s been in my life since the start. Not a day I can remember that Georgie wasn’t ringing my mom’s phone, always there for my mom, through all of life’s trials. . Georgiana was a sweet woman, strong with a genuine laugh, Georgie was good to me and my daughters without fail. Every birthday and holiday, she’d send a nice card, always with a couple bills to spoil us. When I wrote my first book, I think Georgie bought the first copy and wanted the first autograph. Gotta love Georgie. Generous Georgie we will remember her as, always our greatest fan.
So for all the thank you cards I always forgot to mail, Georgie…I truly apologize (and Go Gators, as always). Georgie and Mike both chuckled on that one. Good people.
Great Georgie. I’ve faith that you’ve found comfort in Mike’s arms again - and in our good Lord’s arms always. Peace and blessings to all who knew Georgiana, and love to my parents, Rose and Eli. We wish we could be with you there today; to celebrate the beautiful life you shared with Georgie. Our love to you and promises to cherish each precious moment we have. Prayers. Bonnie, Alexis and Jules

Georgie & I go back to birth. We shared the same crib for about a year...thus the name "Crib Sisters". We were as different as night & day in many ways, but our love and devotion only grew stronger through the years, sharing elementary, middle and high school...,thus the name "Soul Sisters."
I miss her so much already! We talked every day. I am blessed in so many ways by her. She was a beautiful spirit and sweet soul...
I have a hole in my heart....but I the stars are shining a little brighter now that she in Michael's arms and her mother& father's embrace. Rest in peace!
I love you Sis,
Rose Winesett

Thank you for letting me know about the passing of Georgianna. I was a classmate of Michael’s since junior high school, maybe even elementary school. Mike and Georgianna attended many high school reunions, which is where I first met Georgianna.

Thank you for letting me know. Georgie was my aunt. Unfortunately we have only touched based at Christmas since my grandmother passed. I know she will be missed by all. I am so thankful she had so many friends nearby.

Hi all, I feel like I had a very special bound with Georgie thru our reunions. She and Mike attended every one. I chaired six of them (25th thru 50th) and I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent with her before, during and following each reunion. Whatta peach of a gal! I will truly miss my friend. Louise Norris

I'm so sorry to hear this sad news, but thank you so much for
letting me know. I knew Mike way back in the 80s at Steel Hector
&
Davis, and Georgie and I have kept in touch by email until very
recently. She was always such a huge fan of my books, and I loved
hearing how much she enjoyed the latest release. She still asked
that I sign my books to both her and Mike long after Mike was
gone, and I know she is with her soulmate. She will be missed.

Thank you for this notification. Georgie was a wonderful person, as was her husband Mike. I worked with Mike at the now defunct Steel Hector & Davis firm – and that’s how I got to meet Georgie. Once they moved to Ocala, I did not see them very much since I’m in Miami but we had a few fun get-togethers – two UM baseball games, a few dinners, and a very funny shot of Mike getting out of my two door car that Georgie sent to me. She had a great sense of humor. And she was very kind

Georgie and I were pen friends since 1965. I in Australia and she in USA. My husband and I visited Georgie and Mike in 2006 and spent a lovely time with them. They were loving and generous hosts and we made some wonderful memories.
