Obituary of Richard Larry Hewlett

Richard Larry Hewlett Sr., 87, of Ocala passed away September 4, 2021, in Tampa, FL. Richard was born on June 3, 1934, son of the late Felbert C. and Elizabeth (Humphries) Hewlett in Berwick, Pennsylvania. In 1954 he married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Hosler. They enjoyed 59 years of happiness together before she passed away in 2013. Richard retired to the central Florida area after 44 years as a milkman in Berwick. He and Shirley enjoyed years of RV’ing all over the US and made hundreds of friends along the way. For many decades he enjoyed his model trains and had an elaborate set up in his basement in Berwick. He also had a love for pitching horseshoes.  

He is survived by his son Richard (Susie) L. Hewlett Jr. of Ocala, FL and his daughter Debbie Shiley of Manheim, PA; grandchildren, Aaron Hewlett, Mike Shiley, and Carrie Hewlett.  He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Hewlett.  He will be forever loved and remembered.
