Obituary of Jeanne E. Young Raby

Jeanne E. Young Raby 98 years old, born August 9th, 1923, to Jesse H. Young and Mable Young. Youngest of 6 kids Joyce, Hampton, Charles, Bob, and John Young. She attended Lafayette Jefferson high school of Lafayette Indiana. After high school she worked at brown rubber, aluminum as well as the telephone company. She worked at St Elizabeth hospital taking care of newborn babies. She was a WWII veteran as well as a member of the navy waves 284. She enjoyed outings with the waves. She was a diehard Purdue Boilermaker fan, she also bowled on leagues for many years. Jeanne has Four children; Jim, JoAnne, Joyce, and Jan (Les)She is preceded in death by her son Jim as well as two son- in- laws Bill Jones, and Rex McCormick as well as a great granddaughter Courtney Beth. She married Joseph S. Raby on June 8th, 1945, he survives. She had 9 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
