Obituary of Jovita Lozano Serrano

Jovita Lozano Serrano, 88, of Ocala, Florida passed away on August 19, 2021 at Advent Health of Ocala. She was born February 19, 1933, the daughter of the late Ruperto Lozano Ayala and Secundina Serrano. Jova was a native of Caguas, Puerto Rico before moving to the Ocala area from New Jersey in 2021.

Jova is survived by her children, Ermelinda Vazquez, Eliza (Hector) Rosa, Alfredo (Yorladys) Vazquez, William (Barbara) Vazquez, Miriam Vazquez, and Raymond (Yvette) Vazquez; sisters, Ramona Lozano, Dominga Lozano, and Antonia Lozano; brothers, Carmelo Lozano and Evaristo Lozano; grandchildren, Doris Rosa, Priscilla Rosa, Tamika Diaz, Patrick P. Camacho, Bernard M. Camacho, Christian W.Z. Camacho, Alex Vazquez, Alynet Vazquez, Mariel Vazquez, and Liana Vazquez; great-grandchildren, Rosalynn Tucker, Jocelyn Badillo, and Dominic M. Reyes.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A funeral service for Jova will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services (910 E Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL 34470) on Thursday, August 26 at 1:00pm. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of the service. Online condolences may be left at hiers-baxley.com.
