It was such an honor to have met Syl. My fiancé Steve thought the world of him and when I met him I did too. You don’t meet many people like Syl. Always so kind and patient. I was blessed to have had the chance to know Syl. We will miss him very much. Steve and Dawn

Dear Carla and Family,
Diane and I will surely miss Syl; he was a wonderful person and true to the heart. Both Diane and I worked with Syl at one point or another and it was with great pleasure. He was dedicated to anything he worked on, including that wonderful gazebo in Bethel, CT. Our sincerest condolences at this difficult time to all. Jim and Diane Simpson

Dad this photo of your first grandchild from your first child of many is the true beginning of the the life and love you led here on earth. It’s one of my favorites. The selfie of you and Carla just shows the love you have for each other. I love you so much Dad, I’m going to miss you.

My Uncle Ricci was such a hard working man. As a little girl to a woman now always saw him in his office at home or out working to provide for his family and community. He is a man that has done what he considers to be his duty for his love ones and country. He had a heart of gold he would make you laugh and feel comfortable safe and loved when around him. He will now sleep for an eternity, no more working Uncle Ricci… but one thing I know he would be loving to do up in heaven right now is playing golf.. Wonderful memories that will never fade from my heart, rest in peace and God bless

He will be missed. It was so nice to see him raise his hands as the Eucharist was being held up at mass. He was an inspiration to many. I am sure he is with the Lord.

Rest In Peace!
Working with Sylvester, as a realtor, for the past 3 years was an unique experience. His genuine heart and great sense of humor were infectious. He was the greatest mentor that anyone would have wished. He taught me how to deal with adversities and obstacles in a very positive way. My future in this career is already marked by his influence to go above and beyond just because it’s the thing to do. He is gone, we will miss him but I am sure Heaven is rejoicing. I pray for comfort and strength for Ms Carla, his daughter Marla, and all the others. Like Job, just let’s say” The Lord gave, The Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of The Lord”.

Aunt Carla,Marla,Sylvester,Johnny, my favorite memory of Uncle Ricci was when I met Jennifer at your house in Ocala. It was the 4th of July and Johnny had a big fireworks show. I didn’t know anyone except for a brief encounter with Sylvester Jr. Uncle Ricci came up to me and said she’s my niece and you better be good to her. He kept a eye on me all evening, so I thought. At the end of the night I was saying goodbye to everyone and he came up to me and said I can tell everyone likes you including me. He made me feel better than I have ever felt, like family and it was the first time I met him. It might not sound to people like it was a big deal but it was to me. He had a heart of gold. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Sylvester was a dedicated Cursillista, faithfully attending Ultreya and living his 4th Day to the fullest. I will miss his joyous expression of a meaningful sharing of Scripture at each Ultreya. His quiet way of “stepping up to the plate” in sponsoring a candidate for an Ultreya weekend, serving mass with Carla or managing the volunteers at DivineProvidence will always be remembered. May we all learn and follow his example of doing the will of God in each moment and situation. As our realtor a couple times, David became friends and enjoyed working together. We will miss him. May his soul Rest In Peace, DeColores Sylvester!! David and Betty

Dear Carla and family,
Sylvester was a dear friend to Emilio and I especially as we share Teams of Our Lady at church, daily masses and dinners together as couples. He will be tremendously miss by us but his faith remind us that we will meet again in the presence of Our Lord
Our love and condolences go to our dear friend Carla and to all of their children. May time heal the broken hearts and bring the peace and joy of his love for them. Emilio and Nina González
