Obituary of Stephen H. Head

Stephen H. Head, 40, of Ocala, Florida passed away on August 8, 2021. He was born in Miami, Florida on May 28, 1981, the son of Susan Lightbody and the late Hardy “Buddy” Head. Stephen was a graduate of Belleview High School in 2000 and then attended Florida State University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree. He was an accomplished pilot who started flying at 15 years old. Flying was the love of Steve’s life, but he was also a lover of the outdoors. He loved gardening, fishing, skydiving, and boating. Steve was a dedicated son and brother. Anyone who met him always loved him for his gentle and kind spirit. Steve was humble and soft spoken but incredibly strong. And his sense of humor and playfulness brought laughter to all who really knew him. But most of all he loved with all his heart.

Stephen is survived by his mom, Susan (Tom) Lightbody; sisters, Alexis Head, Lindsay Head, Ashley Lightbody, and Randi (Eric) Preston; brother, T.J. Lightbody; nieces, Riley, Leighton, and Kate; nephew, Luke; his fur children, Lily and Athena; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Buddy Head.
