Obituary of Thomas Wallace Miller

Thomas Wallace “Tom” Miller, 85, of Ocala, FL passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.  Tom was born in West Point, Mississippi to Horace and Rena Mae Miller.  He was a 30 year Navy veteran, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer.  Tom and wife Shannon moved to Ocala in 1993.  He was an active member of AA with 42 years of sobriety.  He enjoyed traveling in his motor home and spending time with family and friends.  Tom was predeceased by his sister Clairanne Howard and his brother Gates Miller.

 

Survivors include his wife Shannon Miller of Ocala, two sons and their spouses, and eight grandchildren.

 

A memorial service will be held at Ocala West United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 31^st at 11:00 am.

 

Mr. Miller will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, in a private ceremony.
