Obituary of Glenda Faye Bond MacBlane
Glenda Faye Bond MacBlane, 78, of Belleview, Florida, passed away at her home surrounded by family on June 25, 2021. She was born August 3, 1942 the daughter of the late Mitchell Curtis Horn and Lillie Bell Testerman. Glenda was born in Inez, Kentucky and resided in Belleview, Florida since July of 1984. Glenda worked at Lockheed Martin starting in 1984 and retired after 20+ years. In her free time, Glenda enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, and feeding the birds, especially her favorites red birds (Cardinals) and humming birds. Glenda also loved decorating her household for all seasons, especially Christmas. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and horses but her favorite hobby of all was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Glenda was a lifetime member of the Belleview Fraternal Order of Eagle’s and Belleview VFW where she served as Madam President for the Eagle’s and helped organize charity events.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; first husband of almost 30 years, Archie Bond; second husband of 20 years, Jerry MacBlane; siblings, Fran, Debbie, Rose, and Mitchell, Jr.; and her beloved dog, Oddie.
She is survived by her children, Timothy (Connie) Bond, Melissa Bauer, and Kevin (Heather) Bond; step-daughter, Kelly Packer; siblings, Sue, Dottie, Sherry, Keith, Jack, and Jimmy; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many unofficial adopted family members and friends who left tracks in her yard making it look like there was a county fair held there!!
A funeral service for Glenda will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, July 1 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services (910 E Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL 34470) with Chaplain David Butts officiating. Burial will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with a Celebration of Life to follow at the Belleview Fraternal Order of Eagle’s (8350 E Highway 25, Belleview, FL 34420). Visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley, Ocala on Wednesday, June 30 from 5:00pm til 7:00pm.
