What a beautiful soul Linda had. She loved her family, her friends and she loved life. Linda always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. My husband Dennis and I met Linda and Kathy at South Suburban College where we all worked. When we found out they had a place in The Villages and we had a place in Mount Dora, we traveled together to Florida every May and December after the last exam was given and we had a break before the next semester started. Linda and Kathy were in Kathy’s big red truck and we were in our car each with our walkie talkies. Every trip Kathy would want to stop at Ruby Falls and Linda would always say “maybe next time Kathy.” Every trip it was maybe next time Kathy. That was a standing joke between us. They always brought down Planter’s Peanut Oil and an ice chest with meat from their favorite butcher shop and we had large cans of tuna in oil and veal baloney. Those trips were so much fun. We always stayed in Dalton Georgia and had dinner at Texas Roadhouse. We have so many wonderful memories of Linda and are so grateful she considered us friends. We know God had a special place in heaven for Linda as she gave so much of herself to her family whom she loved with her entire being. Rest In Peace dear friend…you did all you could possibly do your time here. You will be missed terribly

I knew Linda from SSC. She always had a smile on her face, and a kind word to share. I know her students loved her and admired her; not just as a teacher and mentor, but as a person. I'm sorry that Linda had been ill, but I hope her loved ones find comfort in knowing she has no more sickness and no more pain. She can spend every minute of every day doing what makes her happy and smiling down upon you.

Linda was my friend and co-worker. She was instrumental in me getting hired at SSC. For the past 19 years we talked each morning before class. We retired together and also moved to Florida. I know she also liked Galena and cold Corona. We will toast to her each time we go to Mount Dora. Who knew it would be our last time together. RIP my friend.
