Obituary of Catherine Karlo

Catherine Karlo, 101, of Ocala passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Superior Residences in Ocala. She was born January 3, 1920 the daughter of the late John and Julia Walko. Catherine was a native of Osceola Mills, PA and moved from Mt. Top, PA to Ontario, NY before moving to Ocala.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Modrovsky (Peter) of Ocala, Florida; grandchildren, Albert Modrovsky (Deborah) of Park City, Utah, Karen Roussos (Chris) of Dallas, Texas, and David Modrovsky (Michele) of Ocala, Florida; and eight great-grandchildren, Daniel and Allison Modrovsky, Christopher, Andrew, and Anna Roussos, and Jessica, Dustin, and Colten Modrovsky.

Predeceased by her parents and step-father, John Antonischak; her loving husband of 56 years, Andrew Karlo; and her siblings, John, Joseph and Stephen Walko.

A funeral mass will be held at 1:30PM on June 3, 2021 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church (5 SE 17th Street, Ocala, FL, 34471). A visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Wednesday, June 2 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services (910 E Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL 34470).
