I want to give my sincere condolences to the Hornick family.
I was removing some weathered wood for repair on our horse barn in Lovettsville, VA - I found the name "Hornick" written on part of the wood framing. Through some research on the Loudoun County website and conversations with long time neighbors of the property, I was able to determine that Mr. Hornick, a pilot, built the wonderful home that we now reside.. Cleaning up some fallen debris near the end of the driveway my wife found an old sign - "Edgecomb Farm Paso Fino Horses." I came across this page today while thinking about what Edgecomb farm use to be like and how it was operated Mr. Hornick. I found one picture online of what the property looked like in the 80s and my wife and I are inspired to get things up and running and to the standards of which it must have been operated.
I am sad to hear of Mr. Hornicks passing and my thoughts are with the Hornick family.
