Obituary of Ronald Harry Proodian

It is with heavy hearts that our family must share the sudden passing of Ronald Harry Proodian on Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at the age of 77. Ron was born on February 6th, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to Josephine and Harry Proodian. He married Darleen on October 24th, 1964.

Ron had a passion for Corvettes, mentoring both children and adults, and supporting local restaurants where he befriend staff and patrons alike. He was a dedicated employee of Detroit Edison for 38 years and continued on with consulting for many years after his retirement.  Spending time with family and friends was always a priority for Ron.  He will be remembered most for his quick wit, infectious smile, calming demeanor, wisdom, and generosity.

Ron was preceded in death by his father Harry, mother Josephine, and son Todd.  He is survived by his wife Darleen, his brothers Larry (Maria) and Robert (Carol), brother-in-law Ronald Rzucidlo, sister-in-law Carol Borecki (Steven), nieces Michele, Jennifer (Michael), and Alison, nephews James (Marcia), Nathan, and Bradley, great-niece Grace and Gianna, great-nephews Timothy, Justin, Chris, Logan, Morrison, and Zachary, many cousins, his best buddy Spencer, and countless friends.

Should friends and family desire, contributions can be made in honor of Ron to St. Judes, The Village Elementary School of Lady Lake or St. Alban's Anglican Church of Lady Lake, FL.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
