Obituary of WIlliam B. Melody
William B. Melody, 80, of Ocala, Florida passed away on January 29th, 2021. He was a native of Dorchester, Massachusetts. He moved to Ocala, Florida from Cardenas, former Canal Zone, Republic of Panama in 1990.
He was a retired Senior Lockmaster for the Panama Canal Commission. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Korea. He was a member of the American Legion, the First Cavalry Division Association, the Panama Canal Society, and a life member of the National Street Machine Club. He was a member of the Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Hedwig Melody; sisters Elizabeth Gorham and Jean O'Connor; and brother Philip Melody. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Marbella Melody of Ocala, Florida; sons Patrick Melody of Ocala, Florida and Michael Melody(J.J.) of Fort McCoy, Florida; daughters Jennifer Melody of Ocala, Florida, Brenda Mihalopoulos of Weymouth, Massachusetts and Sandra McClentic of Abington, Massachusetts; and sister Judith Melody of Dorchester, Massachusetts. William has six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
