Obituary of Beverly Jacolyn Contway

Beverly Jacolyn Contway at age 94 passed away peacefully in her Ocala home on Jan 15, 2021.

Beverly was born the only child of Ervin and Aletha Kuhle in Detroit, Michigan, on Oct 10, 1926.

She attended Highland Park High School, and later, editor at the Detroit Times. After marrying her husband, John Edward Contway, and having only one child she became a force to be reckoned with in the Real Estate industry. Later relocating to Ocala, where she and her husband enjoyed golf and their beloved dog Laddie. Beverly was preceded in her death by husband “Jack” in 2005.

Beverly’s strength, sense of humor, energy for life and giving nature were acknowledged by all who knew her.

Beverly is survived by her only daughter, Maureen Sumner, currently residing in Australia, and 5 grandchildren, Amanda Pace, Michael, Maximilian, Marcus Sumner, and Montana Garvey. Also 5 great grandchildren, Johnnie Pace, Matilda, Marley, Madden Garvey, and Lucien Sumner.
